    That’s great, you need to be 21 years old or over to foster. There’s no upper age limit. Your life experiences will be a great asset as a foster carer.

    Fantastic, every foster child will need to have their own room for the time they stay with you.
  4. NOSPAREROOMCONTAINER
    
    You can use your own bedroom, if you have space for a cot, to foster a baby up to twelve months. If you wish to foster children over the age of 12 months then every foster child will need to have their own bedroom for the time they stay with you. If your circumstances change and a spare room becomes available, please get in touch.

    That’s excellent, you’ll need to be able to show us your right to reside and work in the UK when you start your application to be a foster carer.

    That’s great. We try our best to keep our children in care in their own local community so that they can maintain their links with their friends, family and schools.

    We require our foster carers to live in Wiltshire so that children in our care can maintain the crucial links with their friends, family and schools. However, if you lived near the border of Wiltshire, we would still like to explore this further with you. Get in touch with us to discuss.

    It’s a big benefit when a foster carer can bring their own fostering experience and skills. When you join us, we’ll continue to help you make the best of your potential and help you to develop as a foster carer.

    If your experience is limited, this will not exclude you from becoming a foster carer as we provide a full comprehensive training programme. We also provide excellent support including out of hours support and you’ll also benefit from our local fostering support hub.

    Not having previous experience in these roles is not a problem as we provide extensive training and support to help you as a foster carer.
